OUR HISTORY
A POWERFUL VISION:
INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY SINCE 1987
From 1987 until today, Esquadros's activity has evolved from a metallic doors and windows manufacturer to one of the main Brazilian companies manufacturing machinery for processing metal coils, such as cutting lines and rollforming. Our history is full of achievements and challenges overcome, and we believe that knowing it is essential to recognize our roots and to understand our present reality. The tireless work, the commitment to business, the relentless pursuit of doing more and better, and the passion for innovation and technology, are some of the principles that brought us here.
We work with the awareness that we keep writing our history day after day. Therefore, we always seek to apply in our daily actions the values that have forged our culture over the years and which have sustained the longevity of the business. Based on the experiences and learning that we accumulated over time, we observe the current context and trends to formulate our strategy, which is the path that leads us to the future we want to achieve.
1987
Esquadros started it’s activities in 1987, in Franca/SP, building metal doors and windows on an artisanal process, in a small shed of 140 square meters.
1988
The following year, the company acquired a piece of land and started the construction of its own headquarters at Av. Ademar de Barros in Franca/SP, with 300 square meters.
1989
In 1989, the inauguration of the company's own headquarters is done, as well as the formalization of the Social Contract of the company on February 01, under the corporate name "SERRALHERIA ESQUADROS LTDA", to explore the locksmith business.
1990
Since then, Esquadros standardized It’s products line and started to reinvest all the profit on the own business, grew the investments in facilities, machinery, training and technology, doubling the productive capacity every year. Aligned with the business vision, the corporate name was changed to "ESQUADROS INDÚSTRIA E COMÉRCIO LTDA".
1993
In 1993, the company moved to its new headquarters at the Distrito Industrial in Franca/SP, with approximately 4,000 square meters, to meet the demands of the serial production of metallic doors and windows. The catalog features the slogan "DOORS OPEN TO THE FUTURE".
1995
For the constant investments in the production of metal frames, we were looking for machines to reduce setup times and maintenance, but we always found ourselves in a void. On one side of the market, badly projected machines without quality, and on the other side, imported machines with higher investments and cost. In 1995, Esquadros composed its first technical mechanic team, invested on design, development and on the acquisition of machining engine and tools. One year later, it became self-sufficient in the production of stamping dies and cut.
1996
Several innovations have led to patent applications, proving that the passion for innovation and technology has always been much more than a slogan: it is in the company's DNA.
1997
In 1997, after collecting surprising results with the mechanical division, a subsidiary called MAC-BLECH INDUSTRIA MECÂNICA LTDA was founded. That standardized the investments on the acquisition of CNCs machines, which resulted in an increase in precision and quality, and also a decrease in the manufacturing cost of the machines. The innovative concept of equipment construction, quick setup, low cost of investment and maintenance, based on the needs of the production, has become a differential, making the machine business grow exponentially.
1998
In 1998, Esquadros moved to a new facility with 28,000 square meters of built area. It was with a high level of industrial automation, launching new lines and brands in the market, such as QUALIPOP, reaching the capacity of 2.000 pieces per day.
2002
In 2002, Esquadros completed the technical delivery of a cut-to-length machine for coils of thin sheets to hot sheets with thicknesses up to 3/16", installed in Cravinhos/SP.
2003
In 2003, in a strategic bold decision, Esquadros paralyzed the production of metallic doors and windows and started to dedicate exclusively to the fabrication of automatic press feeding machines.
2004
In 2004, Esquadros moved it’s factory to the new facility, where it is currently headquartered. Located on the highway Cândido Portinari, km 406N in Franca/SP, covering an área of 60.000 square meters, the company was built specifically for the production needs of the machines and equipment for the processing of coils. The company's purpose is now officially "Industry, Trade, Import, and Export of Machines and Tools for metal sheet processing".
2008
In 2008, it brought to Brazil the revolutionary concept of machines capable of doing all types of cut on a single line: cut-to-length, slitting and multi-blanking. The LCTL solution (multi-blanking lines) developed by Esquadros allows the simultaneous accomplishment of all the cutting operations on a single machine, producing pieces with finished measures in width and length. It is capable of cutting sheets, multiple blanks, recoil, even processing multiple blanks with partial recoil at the same time. In 2009, Esquadros launched its LCTL at the trade show "Corte & Conformação de Metais 2009", which gained great acceptance and immediately became a sales success.
2010
It acquired laser cut machines, plasma, oxycut, CNC bending and verticalized all the production processes, ensuring internally the high standard and quality control of all the fabrication steps of our machines.
2012
In 2012 the Esquadros celebrates an international agreement with the German company UBECO GmbH, in the EUROBLECH-2012 fair in Hannover, and becomes the exclusive representative of the PROFIL software for Brazil and Latin America, an engineering tool for rollformer design. In the same year, inaugurated the expansion of more than 4000 square meters of built area to the existing plant.
2013
Esquadros showed its strength as one of the main players on the market of machines fabrication, with the biggest stand at the ”Corte e Conformação de Metais - 2013” exhibition in São Paulo, which is the fourth most important exhibition, in the world, on this segment.
2015
In 2015 Esquadros adapted to the new situation caused by the severe Brazilian economic crisis of 2014, which significantly affected the capital goods segment. It focused on developing products and improving manufacturing processes, adding technological evolutions that further accentuated the differentiation of its products. These innovations were presented at the "Corte & Conformação 2015", "FEIMEC 2016", "EXPOMAFE 2017" and "FEIMEC 2018" exhibition.
2019
Esquadros stood out at the “EXPOMAFE 2019” exhibition as the only manufacturer of Cutting Lines and Rollforming Lines, taking a leading position among manufacturers of machines for coil processing in the country.
2020
In 2020, despite the pandemic of COVID-19, due to the successive increase in sales volume, Esquadros began an investment plan with the aim of increasing the production capacity and improving the manufacturing processes, with the acquisition of new machinery and expansion of the existing manufacturing area.
2021
In 2021, Esquadros contracts the construction of a new shed, which also includes a new administrative headquarters, in order to achieve adequate physical structure for a global machinery supply business. In September of the same year, the shed was inaugurated and became part of the factory area, totaling 15,000 square meters of built area. This year Esquadros also completed the technical delivery of a lot of LCT (Cut-to-lenght Line) for coils up to 25 tones and thicknesses up to ½" (12,70 mm) in carbon steel. The contract for the supply of the first tube mill machine is signed. For manufacturing welded tubes up to Ø4" in thicknesses of up to 4.25 mm, the machine counts on features such as quick tooling change and automatic tube stacking.
2022
The sheds for the new expansion of the factory area were contracted and delivered, increasing the built area to 30,000 m². The start-up of the first tube mill was successfully completed.
2023
Conclusion of the technical delivery and receipt of the CAF (Certificate of Final Acceptance) for the "Spula Peeling Line", a technically challenging solution which was successfully supplied to the giant multinational Novelis. The line processes aluminum at a speed of 240 m/min, in thicknesses from 0.20 to 1.00 mm, with 100% automatic cycles (totally hands-free). This year, Esquadros is once again internalizing the laser cutting (TRUMPF Trulaser 1060 fiber) and CNC bending processes, in order to guarantee quality standards internally and reduce delivery times. In addition, the company's product line was accredited by FINEP Inovacred 4.0 and FINAME 4.0, brazilian financing lines dedicated to the implementation of solutions using 4.0 industry technologies. Finally, in the same year, Esquadros achieved the important ISO9001:2015 certification accredited by TÜV NORD, which recognizes the company's entire quality management system.
Today, the mechanical division, started in 1995, has become Esquadros major business.
